ડાળ ડાળથી ખરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા
કૂંપળ સુધી ફરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા.

ખેતર ખેતર તેતર રમતાં દીઠા પાછાં
વગડા વેરે વરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા.

માટીમાં મન રોપ્યું ‘તું મેં કો’ક સવારે
જળ સંગે ત્યાં સરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા.

ફાંટ ભરીને ઋતુઓ લાવી ખળે-ખેતરે  
એ તડકાઓ તરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા.

વૃક્ષે વૃક્ષે સાદ પાડતી નીરવતા લ્યો
વાત કાનમાં કરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા.

વયની ડાળે કાચી કેરી લૂમે ઝૂમે
વેળા એંઠી કરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા.

દૂર સીમમાં કો’ક ગાય છે ગીત ગગનનું
હરિવર અમને હરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા.

જળમાં, તળમાં, દીવા બળતા દશે દિશામાં
દૂર મલકમાં ફરી જવાના અવસર આવ્યા.

Times have come to drop from branches
Times have come to visit shoots and sprouts again

Once again were partridges seen playing in fields and farms
Times have come to got wedded to the wilderness

Once one morning had I planted my mind in soil
Times have come to slide along with water over there

Seasons have sprayed loadsful of sunshine on fields and barns
Times have come to swim across them

Listen, solitude is calling at tree to tree
Times have come to say things thru whispers

On a branch of age bunches of unripe mangoes swing
Times have come to steal a bite at them

Away in the fields someone is singing a song of the sky
Times have come being dragged off by deity

Lamps are lit in all directions, upon water and earth
Times have come to return to the lands distant.
