But it keeps us all alive.

ઈલા પાગલપણે હરેશના પ્રેમમાં છે.
અને હરેશનો જીવ શીલામાં છે.
ચંદ્રકાંત બહુ જ થોડાંકને પ્રેમ કરે છે
અને થોડાંક તેને પ્રેમ કરે છે.
મેરી બેઠી બેઠી ટાઈપ કરે છે પ્રેમની નોંધ
રોમેન્ટિક પિયાનોવાદકની આંગળીઓની અદાથી.
ફીરોજ ઊંચે આકાશ તરફ જુએ છે,
જ્યાં ફાલ્ગુનીની દિવ્ય સુગંધ લહેરાય છે.
નીતાની આંખોમાં ગોળ ફરે છે વળ લેતાં સાપોલિયાં
અને મગરૂરીથી પોતે ધીમે ધીમે ચાલે છે.
દરેક જણ અણુએ-અણુમાં રોમાંચ અનુભવે છે
સુનીલની વાતોના ઇશારાઓથી
દબાયેલી જાતીયવૃત્તિ બેફામ આક્રમક થશે
પણ તે આપણને સૌને જીવંત રાખે છે.
પત્નીઓ અને કામની આ દુનિયામાં
આ છે એક અદભુત હવાફેર
અને તેનો અંત આવે છે સાડા પાંચે…..
