What a Wonderful World

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They’re really saying I love you.
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

કેવું અનુપમ મળ્યું વિશ્વ – ભાવાનુવાદ પંચમ શુક્લ

(શિખરિણી)

નિહાળીને વૃક્ષો હરિતવરણાં, લાલ કુસુમો;
તમારે, મ્હારે ને સહુ જન વિશે જે ઊઘડતાં,
વિચારું હું: ‘કેવું અનુપમ મળ્યું વિશ્વ અમને!’

ભૂરાં આકાશો ‘ને અતિ ધવલ કૈં વાદલ દલો;
નિહાળી કોડીલા દિવસ, ઘન રાત્રિ પુનિત ને,
વિલોકું હું: ‘કેવું અનુપમ મળ્યું વિશ્વ અમને!’

અહો! રૂડા રંગો નભ સકલમાં ઈન્દ્રધનુના;
વળી પાછા ભાળું મુખ ઉપર સર્વે મનુજનાં,
વિમાસું હું: ‘કેવું અનુપમ મળ્યું વિશ્વ અમને!’

મળે મિત્રો સ્નેહે, કર-ધૂનનથી હાલ પૂછતા;
કિંવા બાહુપાશે જકડી લઈને પ્રેમ  વહતા,
શિશુઓને જોઉં રુદન કરતાં ને વિકસતાં;
શીખી લેતાં તૂર્તે નવતર ઘણું – દુર્લભ મ્હને,
અને થાતું: ‘કેવું અનુપમ મળ્યું વિશ્વ અમને!’
